Green Lantern is based on the comic book character of the same title appearing in DC Comics. The film will star Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond with Martin Campbell directing a script by Greg Berlanti and comic book writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg.
The Green Lantern is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2011.
