Rediscover a Filipino First with Sentro 1771’s New Menu

                                                                        Banana Tart

In 2002, Sentro 1771 exploded on the local culinary scene with its original Modern Filipino cuisine. Executive Chef Vicky Pacheco brought Filipino cuisine to the next level by presenting local dishes in a chic and elegant setting, combining Swiss and French techniques with familiar Filipino flavors. People lined up outside to get a taste of her famous Corned Beef Sinigang. Sentro 1771's Modern Filipino cuisine fired up the imaginations of chefs around the country and started a new trend in contemporary Filipino restaurants.

Today, Chef Vicky continues to innovate with Sentro 1771's new menu. The items are classified not as fish, meat, or appetizers, but according to every guest's needs. First-time diners must try the Sentro Signature Dishes. Foodies looking for something new and exciting will be delighted with the A la Sentro offerings. Busy professionals with no time to cook can indulge in comfort food from the Home Cooking and Filipino Favorites section. The Vegetables and Salads section is sure to satisfy vegetarians and healthy eaters. The Rice section celebrates the Filipino staple with creative offerings that are meals in themselves. The extensive menu includes compelling choices from its Pica Pica, Spring Rolls, Inihaw and Iba't Ibang Adobo. This goes to show how Chef Vicky keeps the customers' best interests at heart.

Camote Cups

Crab Fat Tuyo Flakes

Sentro 1771 is committed not only to being the first in Modern Filipino Cuisine, but first in quality as well. The restaurants are built not around the cash register, but around the full-service kitchen. This means everything is guaranteed fresh and made à la minute - no commissary. Not only are the new offerings tantalizing, they are also healthier and diet-friendly, featuring naturally raised pork and brown rice or red rice as options. Whatever you are craving, there is something for you in Sentro 1771’s latest menu.

Duck Pancake

B2B Sticks or Balunbalunan Sticks

Asian in origin with an appealing Filipino flavor, the Duck Pancakes (P170) are a must-order when looking for an alternative to pork or beef. Strips of native duck slow-cooked in beer, rhum vinegar, soy sauce, and muscovado sugar are tucked into Chinese pancake pockets and served on soup spoons. The B2B Sticks (P150) are another must-try. These grilled organic chicken gizzards cooked adobo-style are perfect for the curious foreigner or someone craving for street food that's safe yet full of flavor.

Humba

The A la Sentro dishes are proof of Executive Chef Vicky Rose Pacheco’s ingenuity in the kitchen.  Tender pork belly stewed in soy sauce, rhum vinegar, fermented black beans and sweetened with coco sugar, the Sugar-Free Humba (P320) is a satisfying choice. The Sauteed Lengua with Mushrooms Salpicao (P550) is sure to change the way anyone thinks about eating ox tongue. Lightly fried in olive oil and topped with button mushrooms, this delectable dish instantly melts in your mouth. Tilapia Fillets in Coconut Milk (P230) are succulent, flavorful, and extra healthy, featuring fresh coconut milk with lots of garlic and ginger with malunggay leaves that provide a counterbalance to the flavor.

Fish of the Day Pandan and Nakes Lumpia with Vietnamese Crepe

If you're craving for inihaw, order the Fish of the Day - delivered fresh every morning and grilled to order. For the stuffing, you can choose between tomato-miso-malunggay (P220 per 100g) and kamias (P140 per 100g). For those with an aversion to ampalaya, see if Sentro's Two-Egg Ampalaya Crepe (P150) doesn't change your mind! Sure to delight ampalaya lovers and haters alike, this bitter melon is placed on an egg crepe and topped with salted duck egg for added flavor.

Rediscover a Filipino First — first in Modern Filipino cuisine, and first in delivering the dining experience our guests deserve. A sure hit with family, friends, balikbayans and expats, Sentro 1771’s combination of classic and creative riffs will surely outshine any old favorite.

Breakfast Bliss at Café 1771

Whether or not you’re a morning person, a hearty and delicious breakfast is a great reason to wake up early—especially when it's breakfast at Café 1771, where breakfast is served with enough imagination and charm to make anyone’s day.

Corned Beef with Organic Eggs

Start a busy day in the quiet, library-inspired Lounge, or perk yourself up with Café 1771’s coffee concoctions amid the cheerful blue and fuschia hues of the Whimsy area. Chef Vicky Pacheco’s breakfast menu is carefully thought out, with nearly everything made from scratch, and using only the best and freshest ingredients.

Consider, for example, the Hole-in-One Corned Beef, made of spiced corned beef hash—prepared in-house, of course—with cubed potatoes and a dense sunny-side-up egg in the center. Served on a sizzling plate with rice or wheat bread on the side, this all-day favorite is big on size and flavor.

Corned Beef Hole in One

Considered the ultimate reward for egg lovers, Eggs Florentine in a Boat is two poached organic eggs with creamed spinach on a puff pastry and your choice of homemade ham or smoked salmon. This treat comes topped with  a velvety hollandaise sauce poured generously over the perfectly poached eggs.

Eggs Benedict

Still not convinced? The irresistible aroma of Café 1771’s Adobo Flakes Fried Rice is sure to get anyone out of bed. This comforting offering is made of both pork and chicken adobo mixed with garlic rice and spring onions, then topped with a sunny-side-up egg.

Adobo Flakes in Fried Rice

For cheese lovers, the Croque Madame is a must-try – baked layers of ham, gruyere cheese and creamy bechamel sauce over a slice of English bread.

Power diners will choose to energize their day with a Spanish Tortilla with Chorizo. This dish is not to be confused with the well-known Mexican tortilla. Rather, it is a hearty Spanish omelette made of chopped potatoes, onions, chorizo and organic eggs.

Spanish Tortilla with Chorizo

It’s also been said that Café 1771 has the best pancakes this side of town. With the tang of sour cream playing off the deep sweetness of syrup made from scratch, Café 1771’s fluffy Sour Cream Pancakes are sure to bring cheer to anyone’s morning. Chef Vicky highly recommends the caramelized walnuts and bananas as toppings.

A traditional, fiber-loaded meal made of granola mix, Bircher Muesli is mixed nuts, raisins and yogurt with fresh fruit toppings as a tasty finish, and with just the right amount of sweetness in it.

Bircher Muesli

If you believe that a great breakfast in good company can set the tone of the rest of the day, make sure to give your breakfast all the glory it deserves—at this bright and cheerful space called Café 1771.

Get Healthy at Chateau 1771

If ever you find yourself in the mood for something unpretentiously gourmet yet healthy, look no further as Chateau 1771 offers the best of both worlds. The flagship fine dining restaurant of 1771 Group of Restaurants, Chateau is known for its “No Borders Cuisine” - innovative and well-loved renditions of Swiss, Italian, and French dishes that have remained popular over 25 years. Now that every happy, satisfied foodie understands that eating healthy is part of the culinary experience, Chateau 1771’s Executive Chef Vicky Rose Pacheco introduces countless options for truly enjoyable healthy dining.

It’s interesting to note that Chateau 1771 is one of the few restaurants that offer gluten-free food or anything flourless. Seafoods like Steamed Trout and Olive-Oil Poached Halibut with vegetable sides remain fresh and tasty through a preparation that seals its natural flavors. Carb options such as risotto and marble potatoes are also certified gluten-free at Chateau 1771. If there’s a dish that has crostini or croquettes, one can just simply request to add more vegetables as a replacement—a flexible approach for diners who want to enjoy a delicious, healthy meal any time of the day.

8 Lemon Chicken

3 Vanilla Brick Chicken

If there’s a must-order meat at Chateau 1771, that would be the chicken dishes. The menu features naturally-raised, free range chicken. This means the chicken can roam freely for food and enjoy the sunlight. It is also fed with herbs and grass mixed with lactobacillus for maximum health benefits. Aside from that, Chateau 1771 only uses chicken from suppliers who don’t use fertilizers or feeds. Lemon Chicken is a certified Chateau favorite and one can opt to order this with organic brown rice with its equally mouthwatering crisp and filling serving. When looking for entrees free of cream or cheese, Chicken Rollatini and Chicken Fricassee-Style are must-orders too.

Halibut

Freshly-cooked and al dente pasta choices like Pasta Chorizo and Gambasetti can be ordered with whole wheat pasta. For a festive and healthy pasta treat, Parmiggiano Ravioli is a colorful combination of oven-roasted tomatoes, grilled broccoli cauliflower and asparagus which never lacks in zeal and flavor.
For grilled items, Chateau 1771 presents chunky tenderloin available in different sizes without the fat. Hot, flavorful and naturally cooked, the drippings can serve as a satisfying, natural sauce, so one can just forget about the cream.  Aside from this, a fresh range of seafood items is just as irresistible, such as the fresh local fish of the day, Norwegian Salmon, Ocean Trout and King Prawns.

Stuffed Fish of the Day

Most chefs aim simply to make delicious dishes. But with Chateau’s 1771’s complete roster of gourmet yet guilt-free dishes, Executive Chef Vicky Rose Pacheco has come up with an irresistible menu that makes health and indulgence one and the same.

Healthy Food Options for the Entire Family

One of the challenges of modern living is feeding the right food to the family. Working mothers, especially, are always confronted with problems on how to negotiate the avalanche of junk food available in the market today.

Although far from being the healthiest choice, junk food remains a popular choice because it’s tasty, affordable, and accessible.  But they are known to often be high in sugar, fat, and calories, while containing minimal nutrients. Working mothers who have to balance busy schedules and have little time to personally prepare their children’s baon can now breathe a sigh of relief. The Denver, Colorado-based, Quzinos has partnered with the ACA Group to introduce the celebrated toasted and healthy sandwiches in the country. Moreover, Quiznos will offer only all-natural chicken, freshly sliced deli meats, and artisan breads and cheeses to ensure healthy and convenient eating. This is the perfect opportunity for parents, especially working, mothers to give their kids a healthy, balanced, and nutritious meal.

To make the offerings more enticing to the Filipinos, Quiznos will be adapting menus to fit the Filipino taste. This shows the commitment of Quiznos and the ACA Group to expand and build its brand equity in the country.

Furthermore, Quiznos is bullish on the Philippine market citing the fondness of Filipinos for eating and warm acceptance of American food.  Quiznos Philippines plans to open 250 stores in five years - Quiznos has a solid partner in the ACA Group because the latter has an excellent track record in successfully launching brands and sustaining a strong network of business owners and franchisers. The partnership between the two organizations combines their core competencies in international food expertise and local franchising experience, respectively.
