My Professional Blogging Summit Experience #DPOP

Last October 18, 2014, I attended a Professional Blogging Summit held at A. Venue Mall Makati City courtesy of DPOP or Digital Pop, a collaboration of the two most influential bloggers - Jeoff Solas and Janette Toral.

For me, it's always fun to attend an event like this because it's an opportunity to network with your co bloggers and share, and an opportunity to learn with the most influential bloggers here in the Philippines.

The guest speakers were:

Azrael Coladilla (http://azraelsmerryland.blogspot.com/)
- a life blog and reporting for lifestyle, food, travel, tech, pop culture and events.

Ross Del Rosario (http://www.wazzuppilipinas.com/)
- Wazzup Pilipinas is your friendly neighborhood Filipino online community composed of passionate and uber creative bloggers and social media specialists that are all willing and ready to share their amazing experience and stories about everything that's happening in the Philippines and other countries.

- Philippines lifestyle and more!

Joseph Cham (http://josephcham.com/)
- shares his passion in fashion and photography through his blog. He wants to give new ideas not only in styling but also in gadgets, health and lifestyle. Seph wishes to inspire his readers.

-  a cerftified digital marketer brand professional professor.

Sai Montes (http://www.fashionbysai.com/)
- Fashion By Sai features all the latest in fashion (fashion trends, fashion inspirations, and personal style) and beauty how-tos and makeup tutorials.

Most speakers shared their insights on how they started blogging, social media network, relationship management and on how to handle politics and intrigues on the online world. One of them also shared her experience from being a hobbyist to selling online, using her blog as her online store and using all the social media channels for promotion with a plan. And the other one also shared his experience of being a blogger to a celebrity blogger, how cool is that!

The best part of the event that I like the most was when Jeoff Solas told us to group ourselves into 10 then ask each other's blogging experience - from when we started to blog, the first blog post, favorite blog post and the latest blog post. It was fun filled with laughter, sharing and learning!

I hope there's more to attend. Thanks Ms. Janette and Jeoff! :D

The event was supported by A. Venue Mall, Island Rose, SaladBox and Profriends (Property Company of Friends).

Top 10 E-Commerce Websites in the Philippines

What does it take to be included in a top ten list of anything? The notion is that you must be formally recognized to make your inclusion valid. That is not the case for customer care and product purchasing in the field of E-commerce. To gain reputation on this field or to enter the top ten, an online shop must maintain high level of customer relations and vast selection on items. Moreover, you must serve as a way to help people to accomplish their usual tasks.

To name the top ten e-commerce sites in the country, to base it  purely on the popularity of the shop will not be enough. It’s not about the number of Facebook likes, it is about customer evaluation--and that is the primary criterion to make this list. With the growth of these websites, expect changes on the ranking and it should not be a surprise if there will be new additions. So. Here we go!

A cosmetic shop that also advocates self confidence not only for women but also for men. Their site features some of the most extensive facial and body care products, the occasional deals on beauty accessories and exercise units. This site also gives beauty tips to truly define a generation of responsible kikays.

One of the largest Philippine online department stores, 100% Filipino owned. It is the testament of how a live-chat customer support can take your company to newer heights. Their shop covers wide selection on beauty tools and accessories. They also gained recognition by selling authentic designer bags for less. (Well, all online shop promises less cost.)

Is an online gadget shop that ensures up beat response on customer inquiry. Customers of this shop commend the site’s effort of providing contact numbers of service centers on most of their products. Widget city is all about great gadget deals plus peace of mind for their clients.

Widget City

Online grocery shopping that offers the most diverse product selection. Aside from grocery products, they also have digital aisle displays for gadgets, fashion and recreational products. Goods.ph is the leading online shopping in the Philippines. It has gained recognition among home makers as this shop has been proven to deliver grocery needs in times of emergency situations.

If Goods.ph is about diversity in products, Ayos Dito is about the diversity of human resource. Services and job listings, other high value commodities and investments are some of the products that you may avail. Ayos Dito serves as a connecting body for sellers and buyers for an affordable posting fee.

A fashion shop. They offer the biggest selection of affordable dresses. All things fashionable and wearable can be found on this shop. Their company name was derived from the very idea and type of transaction they would like every consumer to experience- and that is to shop hassle-free.

4. OLX or Sulit.com.ph
Is like Ayos Dito but has more following due to its core business process. It serves as an auction site for second hand and several brand new items. Their trading process is what we often call as people to people, with OLX’s system, acting as a mediator.

An online shop for branded fashion items. They have daily deals and great fashion bargains. Zalora serves as an alternative platform for busy workers to still keep up with the clothing needs. They have flexible payment methods (as are the shops on this list)

Zalora Philippines

Zalora Philippines

Is the techno-geek’s shop. Any electronic device that has communication, information and entertainment value can be found in this store. Kimstore also has their way of setting the price for gadgets that have not been officially launched in the country. This site is lauded by many of their customers for truly decreasing the price of their most wanted gadgets. Despite having low SRP’s, Kimstore maintains a huge number of deals, discounts and promos.

Is without a doubt the number one online shop in the Philippines. Though some may say that they had a “not so pleasant shopping experience” on this site, the positive reviews overwhelm the negative feedbacks. Lazada is the online version of a thrift shop for every essential items, be it fashion, wellness and the needs for communication devices.  Regardless of their top one status, they are still making developments  on their site and customer service.
