Last October 18, 2014, I attended a Professional Blogging Summit held at A. Venue Mall Makati City courtesy of DPOP or Digital Pop, a collaboration of the two most influential bloggers - Jeoff Solas and Janette Toral.
For me, it's always fun to attend an event like this because it's an opportunity to network with your co bloggers and share, and an opportunity to learn with the most influential bloggers here in the Philippines.
The guest speakers were:
Azrael Coladilla (http://azraelsmerryland.blogspot.com/)
- a life blog and reporting for lifestyle, food, travel, tech, pop culture and events.
Ross Del Rosario (http://www.wazzuppilipinas.com/)
- Wazzup Pilipinas is your friendly neighborhood Filipino online community composed of passionate and uber creative bloggers and social media specialists that are all willing and ready to share their amazing experience and stories about everything that's happening in the Philippines and other countries.
- Philippines lifestyle and more!
Joseph Cham (http://josephcham.com/)
- shares his passion in fashion and photography through his blog. He wants to give new ideas not only in styling but also in gadgets, health and lifestyle. Seph wishes to inspire his readers.
Sai Montes (http://www.fashionbysai.com/)
- Fashion By Sai features all the latest in fashion (fashion trends, fashion inspirations, and personal style) and beauty how-tos and makeup tutorials.
Most speakers shared their insights on how they started blogging, social media network, relationship management and on how to handle politics and intrigues on the online world. One of them also shared her experience from being a hobbyist to selling online, using her blog as her online store and using all the social media channels for promotion with a plan. And the other one also shared his experience of being a blogger to a celebrity blogger, how cool is that!
The best part of the event that I like the most was when Jeoff Solas told us to group ourselves into 10 then ask each other's blogging experience - from when we started to blog, the first blog post, favorite blog post and the latest blog post. It was fun filled with laughter, sharing and learning!
I hope there's more to attend. Thanks Ms. Janette and Jeoff! :D
The event was supported by A. Venue Mall, Island Rose, SaladBox and Profriends (Property Company of Friends).
