Too Bad!!

Too bad I can't see Usher Live here in Manila (SM Mall of Asia Pasay City) on July 9, 2010 because I would have to attend a friend's wedding in the province. She's really expecting me to be there in her special day even if it's their second wedding. Actually it is a reconciliation, they got separated because of some personal issues when they first settle down as husband and wife. Some sort of common issues of partners like third party, misunderstanding, financial and all the likes blah blah blah. We've been talking/chatting a few months back telling her to give their bond a second chance and prove them that they are wrong to be separated. I think I gave her a good advice and obviously she followed what I told her and with some advices from other people around her I think . I already gave her my word that I will attend her wedding no matter what happen. So I'm gonna set aside my personal agenda on July 9, 2010, yeah! it is too bad! Usher is one of my favorite artist and I just wish that he'll come back and have another concert here and that will be awesome!

Gadgets: Vintage Laptop

Have you seen a vintage laptop before? Cool! but me, it is first time! I saw it while one of my neighbor was disposing it. She told me that it was owned by one of their borders (an Engineer). It's an IBM laptop with a floppy disk drive in it with the brightness and contrast controls at the right side of the screen. It's like a size of a Xbox 360 gaming console. The screen was burn might be because of overheat or overcharge (just guessing, got no idea). I took some decent photos of it so that you see can it too.

Insulting in a Nice Way

Here's how to insult a person in nice way. That was too funny but it would be cool if you don't do that even if it's meant to be joke because it degrades people. By the way, that's Tim Tayag a stand up comedian. A pioneer of wit-based standup comedy in the Philippines, Tim has been performing his brand of humor to audiences from all over the world except in Germany, where they frown upon Nazi jokes.

Queen's Too Much Love Can Kill You

Is it really true that "Too Much Love Can Kill You"? Loving that special someone of yours is really a treasure you can keep for the rest of your life. It is the best feeling that you can ever share to your partner even if problems comes along the way. But what if the love you gave was too much in a way that you gave it all and at the end you ended up crying and it can drown you by your tears. Prevent it from happening, don't give love a 100%, leave 50% to yourself so that it will be easy for you to move on and continue to enjoy life. Let's just stop the drama because Emotions is already OVERRATED!

Here's an inspiring video from the 1st Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Winner Jovit Baldivino of Batangas, Philippines. His winning piece was from Queen's Too Much Love Can Kill You.

"Too Much Love Can Kill You"
 Queen

I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone
For much too long

I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I've been looking back to find
Where I went wrong

Too much love will kill you
If you can't make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You're headed for disaster
'cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you
Every time

I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down
How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can't you see that it's impossible to choose
No there's no making sense of it
Every way I go I'm bound to lose

Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you
Every time

Too much love will kill you
It'll make your life a lie
Yes, too much love will kill you
And you won't understand why
You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end...
In the end.

Wonderin' Bayambang

Last week a friend of mine was asking me if what are my plans for the weekend - I told him that I'll just stay home - play DoTA or do a movie marathon on my laptop the whole day, that was the plan but I ended up in the province of Pangasinan specifically the town of Bayambang. Actually, it was already planned I just totally forgot it.  It was my second time in Pangasinan, my first was way back in college, we visited Manaoag Church. Bayambang is a busy place at day but establishments close early at night, I can't even find decent bar to chill in, in other words "boring". Lol! ,what would I expect - maybe for a change.

The next day was fun, we decided to have a walk and took some pictures of the river and Saint Vincent Ferrer Church.

Saint Vincent Ferrer Church

Based on what was written on the wall:

Saint Vincent Ferrer was born at Valencia, Spain in 1350 to William Ferrer and Constancia Miguel both nobles. He was educated in Valencia at the age of 17. Recieved the habit of the order of preachers. He was sent to Barcelona for further studies. Later, he taught Philisophy at Lerida and in 3 years returned once more to Barcelona. He proceeded to continue his studies at Toulouse.

In the troubled time in which he lived. He was an angel of Peace. after recovering from serious illness in 1398. During which he had a vision of Christ accompanied by St. Dominic de Guzman and St. Francis of Assisi directing him to teach Penance. He devoted himself to preaching. He traveled throughout Spain, France and Italy. Preaching the word of God wiht special stressees on Penance for sin and preparation fo r the last judgement. Although he preached in his own native tongue to people who spoke different languages. He was clearly understood by all because of his extra-ordinary gift of tongues. He was also an outstanding for the gift of Prophecy. Worked astonishing miracles and brought back thousands, including Jews and Moors. To the faith, his authority helped to bring the great schism to an end.

The Saint spent the last 3 years of his life in France and died at Vannes Brittany on April 5, 1419. Pope Calixtus III canonized him in 1455.

Empty Mind!

It's weekend again and my mind is really empty - blanco - en blanco - vide - κενό - 空白 ( all the foreign words means empty) today. I can't think of what to write right now. I just want to go home and sleep the whole day so that I can refresh my mind and think again. Hmmmm, how about beer? Can it help me think or it can make it worst? Maybe this instances is normal - there are times when you do have a lot of ideas in mind to write about and times with zero ideas.

Vlogging

I've been blogging for almost 3 years and this thing really helps me a lot because I got my freedom to write about what I want to write - search here - research here! Most of my blogs are for entertainment and informations about video games, female celebrities, movies, food and mobile phones. I earn an extra income from blogging too (well thanks to google ads). But I was like thinking for something new and tadaa!! here comes VLOGGING! To all the bloggers, this thing is not new to them anymore and same as I do - I just want to try. How can I start? A little information about Vlogging courtesy of Mr. Wiki.

Video blogging or just Vlogging is a form of blogging for which the medium is video (obviously! what else could it be hahaha!), and is a form of Internet television. Entries often combine embedded video or a video link with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts.

Video logs (vlogs) also often take advantage of web syndication to allow for the distribution of video over the Internet using either the RSS or Atom syndication formats, for automatic aggregation and playback on mobile devices and personal computers.

Here's a sample VLOG from Happy Slip

Awwww! Creative Expression!!

Got some videos already uploaded on youtube but I think that's not enough, I need to be more talkative in front of a camera and share new things.  Below is an example of what I uploaded when we went in a known beach and a lot of singing videos too (a trying hard singer and a dancer). And yes! that's me at the end of the video.

And here's my singing career video. :-)

Bawal Yan!!! hahahaha!

Laught Trip!! I was like ROFL!! hahahaha! One of the Ilonggas denture accidentally fell out of her mouth while complaining, telling the person to stop camcording them. Then a friend beside her picked up the denture then all of them are laughing too! hahaha!

A Not so Good day :-(

Wow! it's thursday again, the day flew quickly but sadly it is not so good day for me. Things are messed up, why? because poor coordination came along from a team mate.  I'm not carrying my own chair here but informing your team mates regarding some tasks that needs to be done is so easy. It made me frown, pout etc. etc. blah! blah! the half of the shift, I can't even concentrate of what I'm doing but thank God it went well after a good conversation with the rest of the team. The tasks are done smoothly and I would have to say that the "not so good day" for me was gone. Hopefully this won't happen again. I think scenarios like this is very common in a group or team and the only way that it can be prevented  is to have a good coordination and participation with the group, selfish acts must be thrown away.

Big Sinkhole after a Tropical Storm in Guatemala

This first thing that came into my mind when I first saw this images from Guatemala (images by Paulo Raquec) was photoshop but sadly it wasn't. The big sinkhole was caused by tropical storm Agatha leaving at least 115 casualties. The tropical storm battered Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador over the weekend, officials in those countries reported.

Check out the photos below:

From CNN:

Guatemala was hit hardest, with at least 92 deaths, 54 people missing and 59 injured, emergency officials said. Nearly 112,000 people have been evacuated and more than 29,000 are living in temporary shelters, Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom said in an address to the nation late Sunday.

The devastation has been widespread throughout Guatemala with mudslides destroying homes and buildings and burying some victims. At least nine rivers have dramatically higher levels and 13 bridges have collapsed, the nation's emergency services said.

In the northern part of Guatemala City, the downpour created a giant sinkhole that swallowed up a space larger than the area of a street intersection. Residents told CNN that a three-story building and a house fell into the hole.

More from CNN:

This is so alarming, the caused of natural calamities is getting worst and worst and worst, hundreds of casualties is rapidly increasing.  But we can still prevent this things to happen simply by protecting our natural environment because they are the one's who can protect us from this natural calamities like flash floods, tropical storms etc. We should start acting now!
